EXCITING OPPORTUNITY WITH AST Are you a film enthusiast looking for a project to sink your teeth into? The Founders of AST are always looking for new and exciting ways to spread the word and get people involved in our many projects. We would love to get a wider audience onboard, and have recently been discussing the prospect of filming a documentary. We are looking for a film crew/person (one man cam welcome) that would like to donate their time to this project, we are really after someone that has sound knowledge in the operation of a camera, audio and the lighting required for a documentary (students currently in film school or finishing are most welcome). Having your own equipment would be huge bonus. As AST is a not for profit organisation we are unable to sponsor such an event nor can we fly you over to Nepal, so we are asking people that are perhaps already planning to travel to Nepal and want to do something a little out of the ordinary with their holiday. Of course your rewards will be an amazing experience into the lives and cultures of a unique and remote village, along with obvious notoriety of the film if successful. The finished product can be used for educational material, film festival entries and personal portfolios. Please note we have an interviewer and are currently working on cast/interviewees. Subject matter will involve AST in Kathmandu, journey to the village, village life, current, completed and future projects, and the effect of the projects on the local people (interviewing local people), particularly focussing on the Water for Villages Project. We are looking to film at the end of May 2011 close to Monsoon Season, a crazy time in Nepal and should make for a very interesting journey. Please email dreatravels@hotmail.com for further details (please put AST Film Project as the email title) so you are not over looked. |
